Simple static pages, no account system.

Aggregate analytics

We use Umami Cloud for cookie-free aggregate pageviews. We preserve normal URL search and UTM attribution so we can understand which pages and campaigns are useful.

Umami may process referrer/UTM/device/request metadata for aggregate reporting. It is configured here to respect Do Not Track. We do not call identify, create accounts, store persistent IDs, or connect quiz activity to a person.

The Piano Path Finder can send three custom event classes: piano-path-start, piano-path-complete, and piano-affiliate-click. Completion includes the result category only, not the answer contents. Piano guide pages that end with a disclosed affiliate link also send piano-affiliate-click, carrying only the offer name and which page the link was on.

What this site avoids

Better At This does not write cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, persistent IDs, quiz answers, or identifiers to browser storage. Umami reads localStorage only to honor its optional umami.disabled opt-out flag; no quiz answers or identifiers are stored there.

We use no tracking pixels, no session replay, no ad SDKs, and no Better At This visitor database.

Provider and hosting infrastructure necessarily receives request metadata such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security and delivery. Umami states it does not store personal data.

There is no email form to submit. External merchant sites, including any affiliate destination, have their own policies once you leave Better At This.
